Alex is the founder of Artbox and an award winning visual artist with 15 years experience exhibiting artworks in Australia, Europe and Asia. He has completed a Masters of Fine Art (Research), and a Bachelor of Fine Art (Drawing) with First Class Honours at the Victorian College of the Arts (2002 - 2008). He is a recipient of the prestigious Australian Postgraduate Award (2007 - 2008) from the Australian Research Council. He has completed 2 international residencies in Tokyo (2005) and Beijing (2012). He has showed at White Night Melbourne 2019 and Kings Artist Run (2019) and has 8 permanent video installations including No. 1 Martin Place, Sydney and the historic GPO Exchange in Adelaide (2017 to present). Alex was selected as one of ‘20 artists in 2020’ for the Sydney Contemporary Art Fair. Alex is represented by Rarity Gallery in Mykonos, Greece. Alex lives and practices in Melbourne, Australia.
